Dr. Blasdell is a southern girl at heart and has spent most of her life growing up in Virginia. She grew up in a military family and so she is very passionate about supporting all of our Veterans. She loves to dance and used to choreograph pom pom dance routines for the team in high school. She considers dancing the best form of exercise. She loves hip hop (1990’s is her favorite), rock in roll (Rolling Stones,ACDC, Queen, Bob Seger to name a few), and yes, Blue Grass. She has a left handed 5 string banjo and wants to get back into taking lessons again. She enjoys watching ballroom dancing competitions and is enthusiastically looking forward to supporting the RIC Ballroom Dance Club.
She is an Associate Professor and has been teaching at RIC for 10 years. She teaches junior level medical-surgical nursing and has clinical rotations twice a week at Rhode Island Hospital on a cardiac floor. She is a Fellow of the American Heart Association.
